4 Great Things Trump Has Done Since Becoming President

It has been six days since the official inauguration. Since then Mr Donald Trump has made many accomplishments. His supporters are overwhelmed with his hard work.

Trump has given Obamacare quite a large boot

Under Obamacare, more than 20 million people were covered by government-funded or subsidised health insurance plans.

Is it all that good, though? Because of Obamacare, young people have seen up to a 44 percent increase in premiums because of the new 3-1 ratio, where older people are not to be charged more than three times the cost of a young person’s health care. This means that the elderly pay lower prices compared to the younger people. This is despite the average possibility of needing more medical attention/

Likewise, because of Obamacare’s mandates on businesses, employers are increasingly forced to cut back on hiring and hours of work. This can mean that businesses are less likely to employ younger people.

Middle-income families are being forced to pay a lot, if not most, of the premiums themselves. They are not just expensive; they are overpriced for what you get.

Trump has banned international abortion counselling

The ban says foreign NGOs that receive any cash from the US cannot provide ‘counselling or referrals for abortion or advocating for access to abortion services in their country’.

United States law already prohibits the use of American taxpayer dollars for abortion services anywhere, including in countries where the procedure is legal.

Press secretary Sean Spicer says: “I think the reinstatement of this policy is not just something that echoes that value, but respects taxpayer funding, as well, and ensures that we’re standing up not just for life, for life of the unborn, but for also taxpayer funds that are being spent overseas”

Many accuse Trump of banning abortion without proceeding to do adequate, research themselves.

Trump has set the wall into motion

President Donald Trump has set into motion where his plan is to build an “impenetrable, physical, tall, powerful, beautiful, southern border wall” between the US and Mexico.

This wall will be approximately 1,000 miles, where natural obstacles will take care of the 900 miles of the Mexican border remaining.

Mr Trump claims the total cost of the wall will be $10bn (£7.5bn) to $12bn.

Many criticize this idea, however walls between countries are nothing new. The Romans built Hadrian’s Wall about 120 years after the birth of Christ to protect the Roman province of Britain. Thousands of miles away, Hungary is building a border wall to try to keep out would-be migrants. Shall I mention the wall of China?

Trump orders temporary ban on refugees

Trump has called for a temporary ban on most refugees and a suspension of visas for citizens of Syria and six other Middle Eastern and African countries.

Despite previously wanting a temporary ban on Muslims, both Trump and Senator Jeff Sessions, have since said they would focus the restrictions on countries whose migrants could pose a threat, rather than a ban on those of a specific religion.

It was quite obvious that what drove the temporary ban was Europe’s problem with the mass migrant influx. Since then, countless crimes have been committed by these ethnic minorities, claiming asylum.
