Counter-Petition to Allow Trump a State Visit Passes 170,000 Signatures!

The media has hugely reported on the massive petition calling for Trump to be banned from UK state visits due to him being “vulgar”. But another petition was started yesterday (30th Jan) and is quickly catching up with its competitor and at the time of writing has 125,162 signatures.

As one of the first people to sign the new petition, I have been following the petition’s progress right from the start. In fact, when I signed there were just over 250 signatures and it’s come a long way since then!

The original petition has created a media field-day with all of the major news sites treating it like the most significant political event since Brexit. But in reality it really isn’t. In fact, it’s largely irrelevant – let me explain why.

Counter-petition has received more signatures in the last hour

At the time of writing, the new petition to allow Trump entry on a state visit has, in fact, received more signatures in the last hour than the opposite one by a rather large margin.

This shows that the momentum is on the site of the Trump supporters once again, even if the media won’t acknowledge it.

This momentum is largely down to the huge amount of UKIP activists who have been sharing the post on Facebook and Twitter, hugely increasing the amount of support it has received. One of the first of these was Ryan Waters, a UKIP member and candidate for the NEC last year. Speaking to Kipper Central, he said “I fully support this counter petition as, in a nut shell, I support the democratic process. I actually attempted to set up a counter petition myself, but found it rejected at 5pm on Monday as someone had already made one which had just been activated. As such, I got an email with the link to it and so was one of the first people to sign it.” You can see his full quote at the bottom of the article.

There is a 91% correlation with banning Trump signatures and Second EU Referendum signatures

Research by Number Cruncher Politics has shown that there is a 91% correlation between the constituencies that mainly signed the petition advocating a second EU referendum because they didn’t like the outcome of the first and the petition to ban Trump because they can’t accept that he is following through with his election pledges.

The London (and Edinburgh) Elite are exclusively signing the petition

When you actually look at the data, it is clear that virtually only people who live in London and Edinburgh are signing the petition. Whereas when you look at the petition to allow Trump access, it is the Brexit strongholds that are signing and London is left out!

Petition to allow Trump a state visit

Petition to stop Trump’s state visit

As you can see, the petition to allow Trump is spread across the whole nation but is particularly popular in the areas where the Brexit vote was huge like Manchester and Stoke. Whereas the other one is almost completely made up of signatures from London (and a few from Edinburgh).

At least 3% of the signatures are ineligible

Around 97% of the signatures were from the UK, meaning that just over 3% were actually submitted outside the UK, ruling them ineligible. If this many can be faked, who knows how many more are?

So let’s shut up the London Liberal Elite and sign and share the petition! And while you’re at it, you could also share this article to prove what a farce the first petition is!

Ryan Waters’ Full Quote:

“I fully support this counter petition as, in a nut shell, I support the democratic process. I actually attempted to set up a counter petition myself, but found it rejected at 5pm on Monday as someone had already made one which had just been activated. As such, I got an email with the link to it and so was one of the first people to sign it.

“Many may say this counter petition is a waste of time as Trump is confirmed by the government as coming to the UK for a state visit anyway, but I see this as a way for us real democrats to have our voice heard. We must be heard above the hysterical liberals, and show the world that the UK main-stream media, the liberal establishment, Tim Farron, Laura Kuenssberg, Dennis Skinner, Mo Farrah, Lilly Allen, and the noisy, anti-democratic, aggressive hard left liberals do not speak for me.

“The details of how and what criteria were used by the Obama administration to single these 7 countries out as specific threats is irrelevant, and the main-stream media’s attempts to paint this as a “Muslim ban” are beyond contempt. The bottom line here is that Trump was elected on a set of promises, and he is carrying them out. I see this hysteria, the anti-trump petition, and the constant bullying / name calling of anyone who supports what he is doing as anti-democratic. In fact, the constant mis-reporting by the main-stream media and subsequent onslaught by some very noisy politicians / “celebrities” is whipping up naïve liberals into a near fascist frenzy. I support Trump’s right to make these modest  executive orders and I respect the American peoples decision to have him as their president – Welcome to the UK President Trump!!”
