Bolton To Clarke: Emigrate To Greece.
Henry Bolton has hit out at leading Tory Remoaner, former Chancellor Kenneth Clarke suggesting him and his colleagues ’emigrate to Greece’.
Mr. Bolton made the comment on Twitter following the news that Mr. Clarke and at least 15 other Conservative MPs are threatening to rebel against the government proposal to enshrine the date and time of Brexit into law. Mr. Bolton reminded Mr. Clarke that the British people have rejected the “supine” policy he and the Conservatives pursued for over 40 years and accused him and those joining the rebellion of “obstructing” the Conservative Party manifesto.
Mr. Clarke told the Commons last night, to thunderous applause from the Labour benches, that the amendment to set a date for Brexit was “ridiculous and unnecessary”. He went on to bitterly praise Nigel Farage as the “most successful politician of my generation” who managed to persuade a large number of people to share his point of view who were “all looking forward to having bent bananas again”. Labour MP Chuka Umunna described the speech as a “pleasure to listen too”.
