REVIEW OF THE YEAR: MAY Is President Trump Likely To Be Impeached?
EDITORS NOTE: The impeachment of Donald Trump is something that the left still threatens and they would say it is still possible. Kane J Woodward asked the above question and concluded probably not……
Could It Happen?
Straight off the bat. The answer is probably not.
Obstruction of justice, that is the phrase we’ve been hearing a lot in the last few days, but what does it mean? The dictionary states that it is: “the crime or act of willfully interfering with the process of justice and law especially by influencing, threatening, harming, or impeding a witness, potential witness, juror, or judicial or legal officer or by furnishing false information in or otherwise impeding an investigation or legal process” Sounds serious, but has the president actually committed this crime? Well, It doesn’t seem so. The scandal kicked off a few days ago after Trump fired James Comey who served as the seventh Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation from September 2013 until May 2017. Trump claims to have fired him because he was “unpopular”, although the official reason behind why he was fired is still not clear. Comey came forward claiming to have written a memo that recalls the conversation they had together at dinner in January. He claims that the president requested that he drop his investigation into Micheal Flynn who was replaced by H.R McMaster as National Security Adviser. This memo has yet to be revealed which makes me question the authenticity of the claim.
James Comey has said that the contents of the memo are “troubling”, yet he took 3 months to come forward. To me this new scandal feels like more deep state propaganda, considering he only released it a couple of days after being fired. For Trump to be impeached it will require a majority of Congress (51%) and this wouldn’t even be likely to lead to him being removed from office. To have a president removed from office they need 66% of the Senate have to agree. Republicans also hold the majority in the house and senate. Besides Micheal Flynn’s ties to Russia, there is no evidence to suggest Trump’s campaign had any collusion with Russia, and Trump fired Flynn…

It All Seems Far Fetched
The next piece of “controversy” came when the president shared “highly classified” information with Russian officials. This information detailed how to protect innocent people during terrorist attacks on planes. How dare he! How could he be so foolish as to want to protect the lives of the innocent! The intelligence was regarding threats from ISIS. People are acting like Trump gave Russia the nuclear codes. It’s not even a scandal.
“During President Trump’s meeting with Foreign Minister Lavrov, a broad range of subjects were discussed, among which were common efforts and threats regarding counter-terrorism,”
Rex Tillerson, the secretary of state, said.
The president is not likely to be impeached anytime soon, this is due to the fact that there isn’t any hard evidence for the deep states “obstruction of justice” claim. The only evidence they have to go on is a memo written by newly fired and likely bitter James Comey. Another factor to take into account is the intent of Mr. Trump’s words. The president is not a man of clarity. He speaks his mind before his mind has had a chance to think. We’ve seen him time and time again speak before thinking and there is a good chance that Trump wasn’t even aware of the implications of the words he chose if Comey’s claim is true, that is. Mr. Trump told Mr. Comey, according to the memo. “He is a good guy. I hope you can let this go,” This is not real evidence that would hold up in a trial. Unless secret recording of Mr. Trump saying this came out, I highly doubt the case will move forward. A court cannot just take somebody’s word for it without proof. This is yet another example of the deep state war on Trump.
Mr. Trump said on Twitter “This is the single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history!” This shows Trumps anger. He must be sick of the constant investigations into every move he makes.
To all the Anti-Trumpers out there, don’t hold your breath. Without solid evidence, this new scandal is nothing more than the deep state throwing their toys out the pram, still resentful because they lost the election. The president isn’t perfect, but he cares about his country. If the left put as much effort into their search for dirt on Hillary as they do with Trump, they may uncover some very nasty secrets. Ties to Saudi Arabia and Secret meetings with Russia, but they don’t care if its not the opposition.
