Remoaner Sadiq Khan: Brexit Will Cause “Lost Decade” & Lose Britain £50bn
Mayor of London and chief remoaner Sadiq Khan has commissioned a report blasting Brexit, claiming it will cause Britain to have a “lost decade”.
The report by Cambridge Econometrics predicts that as many as 87,000 jobs could be lost in London alone, with over half a million jobs lose across the UK.
The analysis models five possible scenarios, from a soft Brexit where Britain remains very aligned and involved in the EU, to a hard Brexit with no deal whatsoever.
Khan said: “If the government continue to mishandle the negotiations we could be heading for a lost decade of lower growth and lower employment.

“The analysis concludes that the harder the Brexit we end up with, the bigger the potential impact on jobs, growth and living standards.”
Khan was a very ardent remainer during the referendum and has since been one of the loudest critics of a hard Brexit.
The Labour mayor has even gone as far as calling for London to have its own Brexit deal, separate to the deal for the rest of the UK.
The report concludes that any Brexit whatsoever will harm the UK economy but that “the harder the Brexit, the more severe the economic damage could be”.
