Coburn: EU “Terrified” That Britain Will Do Well Without A Deal
David Coburn, UKIP MEP, has taken aim at Michael Barnier, the EU’s Chief Negotiator and said that he has been tasked with one thing alone – to “ruin” Britain’s economy. He also said Nigel Farage was “bewildered” following his meeting with Barnier and that Eurocrats were “terrified” that Britain would do well following Brexit.
Speaking to EU Reporter from Strasbourg, the MEP said:
The EU are terrified that we leave with a good deal. Britain will do well with or without a deal.
Barnier’s business is to nobble the British economy and British businesses.
The reason Nigel Farage and Lord Digby Jones came out of their meeting with Barnier bewildered was because they couldn’t believe what his actual mission was.
That mission is to destroy Britain and nobble our economy for the next 30 years.
They do not want the largest economy on their doorstep running rings around them, which is what will happen without EU interference.
Mr Coburn made his comments as, following his meeting with Mr Barnier, Nigel Farage claimed that the EU was not going to offer Britain a decent deal, and urged Brexiteers to prepare themselves for another referendum.
