Batten’s Advice To “Weak & Quisling” Government: We Need To “TAKE CONTROL” Of Negotiations
Speaking to Kipper Central, UKIP MEP Gerard Batten has hit out at the “weak and quisling” Conservative government in relation to the UK’s negotiating position with the EU.
Batten’s latest message to Theresa May comes after rumours that the transition deal with the EU could take up to five years, during which time the UK would be forced to keep freedom of movement.
Mr Batten said: “What is happening is entirely predictable, as indeed I did predict it in my book ‘Road to Freedom’ (2014).
“On one hand we see the EU trying to delay and impede the leaving process as much as possible. On the other hand we see our weak and Quisling Government buckling at every impediment the EU puts in its way.
“The Government needs to take control. It should stop asking the EU how we can leave and start telling it how it is going to happen.
“The only real impediment in our way is the Government’s lack of vision and resolve. They are predominantly Remainers led by a Remainer.”
Mr Batten, who has been an MEP for UKIP for almost 14 years and helped to found the party, is not the only UKIP MEP to have launched an attack on the government after this news.
Bill Etheridge MEP also blasted Theresa May’s negotiating technique as “worse than primary school children”!
