WATCH: “You Would Leave Us DEFENCELESS!” – Question Time FURIOUS Audience Member BLASTS Labour
Appearing last night on BBC Question Time, one very angry audience member hit out at Labour’s defence policy, arguing that they would leave the UK ‘defenceless’ by scrapping Trident.
Panellists on the show included International Trade Secretary Liam Fox as well as Laura Pidcock, Prue Leith, Roma Agrawal and George the Poet.
Speaking to the Labour MP on the panel – Laura Pidcock, the audience member said: “I think the main problem here when you talk about ‘strength’ is we only have 2% defence budget.

“We’re now talking about further cuts!
“Surely that’s not a show of strength and we should actually be doing more than that.”
Pidcock responded: “Strength doesn’t always have to be military force; it doesn’t always have to be about aggression towards other countries.
“I’m a firm believer in diplomatic solutions in very, very tense solutions.”
He hit back: “Of course, Labour would leave us defenceless when they want to scrap Trident.”
Pidcock then said: “I think it’s the most preposterous suggestion that Labour would leave us without a British army.
“We are not the ones that are cutting the British army, we are not the ones that are leaving our soldiers without the protection they need when they’re overseas. That’s a complete myth.”
