    Nicely done Torquil, you have put your head and hand to the huge difference between what should be UK/GB Law, and that of most Continental Europe, certainly that of the EU.
    This is also an item, not often mentioned, that separates UK/GB from the Continent. It is a reason why I could never be content to be referred to as European, due to our history and the root of our Laws !

    It’s institutionally political and not an evolution of common law sensibility.
