Green Party Calls For Support For “Women Of All Genders And None” In Official Tweet
The Green party has called for “full equality” and “support” for “women of all genders and none” in a tweet sent on the national Twitter account of the party.
The party has since faced ridicule over social media from users who have pointed out that – even by the most liberal of gender definitions, a woman cannot also have another gender, nor none.
Despite the tweet having been up for over a month, the party have not issued a correction, nor taken it down.
Let’s fight for full equality together and support all women; cis women, trans women, women of all genders and none.https://t.co/eUo8cOXStK

Replies on Twitter showed a great deal of confusion from the site’s users, with one user writing “WTF does that mean?”.

Commenting on the picture on Facebook, one user wrote: “Stop trying to give civil rights to a mental disorder. There’s no such thing as cis, trans, ze, etc etc, humans are binary, women are xx, men are xy, there’s a very small percentage of people born intersex & that’s it.”
Another said: “Matt Hill I really have reached saturation point with all of this. Just makes me want to be a hermit and find somewhere really quiet and away from everybody and everything and switch all these bloody gadgets off and just be myself. I feel tainted with all this PC sh*te”
The tweet follows a claim last year from UKIP that the party’s only contribution to culture is “the recipe for knitted yogurt”.
