TELFORD: Three Councillors EXPOSED For Child Sex Abuse Amid UK’s “Worst Ever” Grooming Scandal
Three politicians in Telford have been convicted or have pleaded guilty of child abuse offences in yet another disturbing revelation in one of the UK’s biggest ever grooming scandals.
Relatives of Lucy Lowe – a 16-year-old girl who was abused and ultimately burned to death as part of the scandal – have spoken of their shock at the news that one elected councillor has been convicted of child abuse and a further two have pleaded guilty.
Lucy’s uncle, Ed Lowe said: “It’s mindblowing. It’s disgraceful.
“We always wanted to know why social services didn’t get involved in dealing with Lucy’s abuse. Now we have even more questions.”
Graham Bould, 60, who was Chairman of the social services department of Shropshire’s County Council between 1993 and 1998, is the second man found to have been abusing a young boy during the scandal.
The first – Anglican vicar the Rev Michael Keen, 78, has been convicted to 15 months in prison for abusing the young lad when he was just 15-years-old.
Speaking out after the conviction, the victim of Bould and Keen said: “I believed Bould was a friend, probably my best friend at the time, but he did not care about me. I was just an object of lust to him.”
Despite being convicted of the abuse, Bould did not go to prison and instead was simply sentenced to 12 months community service.
Another councillor, Graham White, took indecent images of a 14-year-old boy and was convicted in 2004, during the abuse scandal.
Speaking exclusively to Kipper Central, Nathan Ryding – the chairman of Young Independence – said: “What a disgusting turn of events, those elected members of the Council whose job it is to look after and care for the people they represent, end up being the abusers themselves.
“Children need the utmost protection these days as there are too many threats out there, from Islamic grooming gangs, all the way to the people who are “protecting” them.”
