‘Get Counselling & Leave The Country!’: Peter Bone BLASTS Remoaning Journalist Live On TV
A debate on Brexit on the BBC’s Daily Politics took an unexpected turn yesterday when Tory MP Peter Bone suggested that remoaning journalist Yasmin Alibhai-Brown should get counselling and ‘maybe leave the country’.
“The problem is, as Mathew Barry said, the sensible ones – of which I am one, and he is one – can see that you’re taking us over the cliff!
“So we’re both frightened and already grieving for what might have been had you not won.

“It’s very complicated! So you being so calm is not helping my grieving!
“I feel terrible!”
Host Jo Coburn then asked Mr Bone if he had any sympathy for the journalist and author next to him in studio, to which he responded: “I have sympathy for people in that position, and there are some, I do think counselling would be a good idea.
“Maybe leaving the country would help as well.”
The guests then burst out with laughter before Ms Alibhai-Brown said: “Excuse me, excuse me.
“He has just put my blood pressure up even more.
“The calm male voice telling me ‘now don’t go mad’.”
