LABOUR’S BREXIT CHAOS: Young Labour Disowns Its Own Chair Over Policy Vote Call
A bitter row has erupted within the youth wing of the Labour Party over Brexit adding to the spiral of chaos that constitutes Labour’s policy on Brexit. Miriam Mirwitch, the chair of Young Labour, and Melantha Chittenden, the chair of Labour Students have written an open letter to Jeremy Corbyn calling for a vote to take place on Brexit policy at the next Labour Conference:
It’s vital that Young Labour members have our voices heard on Brexit.
A hard Brexit that slashes worker’s rights, freedom of movement and single market access will hurt the many.@Melantha___ and I have written to our leader, @jeremycorbyn, calling for a vote at conference. pic.twitter.com/3EoHCYliaN

Ms Mirwitch, however, suffered an immediate rebellion from her own committee which disowned her letter:
Young Labour National Committee wish to clarify our position. We fully support @jeremycorbyn ’s leadership and individuals cannot claim to represent our 100,000 + members without robust policy discussion. pic.twitter.com/U0cvnvgYgm

Nathan Rydings, Chairman of Young Independence said;
It is an embarrassing situation to find yourself if, when you publicly release a statement claiming to speak on behalf of 100,000 people, just for your own committee to release another statement to disown your comments.
As Young Independence National Chairman, I would never sink so low as to lie to try and push my own political ideas, even when I know the people I represent disagree with me.
This just goes to show, Young Labour have just as many problems as the main party with regards to infighting.
I am pleased to say, Young Independence is more united than ever, we are growing and we are fighting against Political Correctness, Cultural Marxism and left-wing indoctrination in our educational establishments.
