Excellent, so pleased with progress under Gerard’s leadership.

  2. John Carins says:

Things are on the up. This will attract more members, more of the silent majority who never get a say.

  3. John Francis says:

    More good news concerning UKIP.
The Party really does seem to be moving forward, in the right direction again.
    Thank you to all concerned.

good news now lets all get behind ukip and rip apart the torys and labour

  5. MIKE MAUNDER says:

It would seem that we are now blessed with a leader, and Gerard has galvanised the membership into action, and the Party has been saved. Important as that is, we have no time to rest. The Nation has never been so ready to get behind a Party of National Unity, ditching the left or right of politics, and the sale of this idea is well backed by this Party’s manifesto.
The grass root members being involved in policy decision, is a very fine idea, so go to it one and all ! Democracy is in bandages, but rises !

  6. Ian Edwards says:

A word of caution: be careful (or at least be prepared for) what you wish for. If the membership decided * income tax should be abolished, or * bring back the Bradbury!, or * government should always balance it’s books, or * Islam should leave our island, could UKIP handle it! Or is it a pre-determined list and membership can simply influence priority?

Given the opportunity however I feel genuinely compelled to join so I can put forward a list of opportunities/priorities into the mix from myself.

    • Paula Walters says:

I think it’s both Ian, Tony discussed choosing priority for about five policies then members choosing about five of their own. He will be sending out the forms soon

  7. Dominic says:

Paula seems like a decent person but we should judge by results. In Wirral only 1 UKIP candidate stood in around 30 wards, and that was Paula herself. She got 100 odd votes, so UKIP Wirral got 100 out of 60,000 votes cast. Sorry but she should prove she can handle her branch better before thinking about NEC.

  8. Margaret Dennis says:

Until we get back out there telling the silent majority of UKIPs new ways we will not get far.
June 1st (tomorrow) I will be joining some of the South Devon branches in a visual support for our fishing communities, some small businesses and farmers by flag waving, banner holding and info giving. It is National Fish and Chip Day.
If you can and are in an area that needs the same support get going. Take action.
