GETTING TOUGH: Austrian Vice Chancellor Tells Turkish Migrants “GO BACK!” If You Voted Erdogan
Austria’s Vice Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache has urged all Turkish migrants who voted for Turkey’s Islamic president Recep Tayyip Erdogan to leave the country and return home.
Writing on his Facebook page, Strache said: “I recommend all Turks in Austria who voted for Erdogan to go back to Turkey”
Strache, who leads the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ), has served as Vice Chancellor of the nation since last year and is well-known for being strict on Islamism and mass migration.
After Erdogan’s threat of a ‘Holy War’ against the West, right-wing politicians across Europe have taken a strong stance against both Erdogan and Islamism more generally, with Austria being the prime example of this in government.

Under Strache’s leadership, the FPÖ has gained a significant amount of support among the public, who are turning out to vote for his right-wing populist party in ever-increasing numbers.
In the 2017 Presidential election, the FPÖ recieved 35.1% of the vote in the first round, and came extraordinarily close to victory in the second round with 46.2% of the vote.
