PATRIOTIC YOUTHQUAKE: UKIP’S Young Membership Up 44% As Freedom Activists Join Party
Kipper Central can exclusively reveal that the membership of Young Independence (YI), UKIP’s youth wing, has risen by 377 members over a period just under two months.
Now up to a total of 1233 members, Young Independence is arguably at its strongest position since the EU referendum.
All members who sign up to UKIP who are aged 30 and under automatically become members of YI, meaning that YI membership is a very strong indication of general youth interest in UKIP as a whole.
Between May 4th and July 2nd, YI membership increased by 44%, rising from 856 members to 1233, representing a major shift in youth politics in the UK.

UKIP’s membership overall increased by over 1,000 in June, with 616 members joining within just days of three prominent online social media activists; Sargon of Akkad, Paul Joseph Watson and Count Dankula joining the party.
Speaking exclusively to Kipper Central, UKIP’s Leader Gerard Batten said: “The sharp increase in the number of young people joining UKIP is good news. It shows that what we stand for is increasingly relevant to young people.
“UKIP is essentially the same as it was when we were founded in 1993: we want to live in a free, independent, democratic nation state, according to our own laws and traditions.
“But the issues around us have evolved, freedom has been eroded enormously in the last twenty-five years and it needs to be regained.
“Being the party of freedom and free speech is something younger people can relate to. UKIP is about what we want our country to be in the future, and to take that struggle forward we need younger people: so welcome aboard.”
Also speaking exclusively to Kipper Central, Nathan Ryding, the Chairman of UKIP’s Youth Wing said: “Young Independence is growing faster than ever before and I am extremely proud to be the National Chairman during this time.
“This mass increase is most likely down to our new social media stars joining the party recently and I think they will continue to attract younger people to our cause.
“YI is flourishing membership wise and financially, I have great plans for the future of the youth wing and I look forward to working with the party leadership and the likes of Count Dankula and PJW to make YI great again!”
