Arron Banks Calls Evans ‘Wicked Witch of The East’ As He Wades In To Kurten Row
Leave.EU Chief and former UKIP donor Arron Banks (pictured above) has waded into the row over the candidacy of London AM David Kurten in the forthcoming UKIP leadership contest. Mr. Banks and his organisation are backing Mr. Kurten, who this week has found himself embroiled in a row over his views on homosexuality following an article that appeared in Pink News. This attracted condemnation from former UKIP Deputy Chair Suzanne Evans, but Mr. Banks was less than complimentary about her intervention. He Tweeted:
‘If you are upsetting the wicked witch of the east @SuzanneEvans1 must be doing something right! A lot of people agree with you’ and:
‘See @SuzanneEvans1 up to her old tricks , malicious stuff from the person who helped Carswell & co destroy the party @andywigmore’.
Mr. Banks later told Pink News:-
‘Everybody has accepted homosexuality, it’s not an issue anymore. Doesn’t mean we need our kids persuaded that it’s a great lifestyle choice!
‘I’m not for it or against it, and no one really cares any more. But children shouldn’t have stuff pumped at them at school.
‘Everybody (is) bored rigid by the whole ‘Gay crusade’! How about kids get to enjoy school without gender , gay , feminism, and any other ism!’
Earlier Mr. Kurten had told the campaign group Support 4 The Family:-
‘The latest scientific studies show that incidence of homosexuality in adults decreases with age, so it is unlikely to be fixed at birth. Study after study also shows that the incidence of homosexuality is much higher among people who have been sexually abused as children. This is an issue which needs to be addressed but is not because of political correctness.’
UKIP will be announcing the final list of vetted and approved candidates later today (Friday). The winner will be announced at the party’s autumn conference in Torquay at the end of September.
