WATCH: “You Would Leave Us DEFENCELESS!” – Question Time FURIOUS Audience Member BLASTS Labour

Appearing last night on BBC Question Time, one very angry audience member hit out at Labour’s defence policy, arguing that they would leave the UK ‘defenceless’ by scrapping Trident.

Panellists on the show included International Trade Secretary Liam Fox as well as Laura Pidcock, Prue Leith, Roma Agrawal and George the Poet.

Speaking to the Labour MP on the panel – Laura Pidcock, the audience member said: “I think the main problem here when you talk about ‘strength’ is we only have 2% defence budget.

“We’re now talking about further cuts!

“Surely that’s not a show of strength and we should actually be doing more than that.”

Pidcock responded: “Strength doesn’t always have to be military force; it doesn’t always have to be about aggression towards other countries.

“I’m a firm believer in diplomatic solutions in very, very tense solutions.”

He hit back: “Of course, Labour would leave us defenceless when they want to scrap Trident.”

Pidcock then said: “I think it’s the most preposterous suggestion that Labour would leave us without a British army.

“We are not the ones that are cutting the British army, we are not the ones that are leaving our soldiers without the protection they need when they’re overseas. That’s a complete myth.”

Pidcock gave us a look of what to expect with a Labour Government. All I can say, is that although situations have changed somewhat since 1940, I am most amused at her anti aggression idea, and sending in the Diplomatic force ! This becomes higher in foolishness, than Chamberlains talks with Hitler, and his silly bit of paper !

Having strong armed forces is not about showing aggression to other countries, but it’s typical of a Leftard liar to ignore the word ‘defence’ and distort the argument to her own twisted agenda. It’s clearer than ever that Russia under Putin is an enemy country that needs to see us having an effective deterrent. It’s clearer than ever that we have islamic enemies within and without our borders and need better protection from terrorism and possible future civil disturbance that could lead to civil war. But the cheese-paring, short-sighted Tory government wants defence of the realm on the cheap and deprives our armed forces of the manpower and resources it needs. They betray us all in so many ways.

As for Labour, like the snowflakes they are, they would melt with fright if the going ever got tough. Labour is a joke, the kind that is painful to laugh at – just look at their front bench during PMQs. Reminds me of a ‘Carry on’ film cast in an unfunny remake of ‘Carry on Up the Khyber’.

  3. And what exactly does Pidcock propose we do WHEN the diplomacy fails?
Additionally, there are THREE branches to our nations ARMED FORCES, and they are all interdependent and ALL are VITAL to the DEFENSE ( I emphasize DEFENSE).of OUR COUNTRY. I would also remind Pidcock that the FIRST DUTY of all Governments IS the ‘DEFENSE of the REALM’ !
I grew up during the WWII years, too many people died to allow us the FREEDOMS that we currently enjoy. HANDS OFF !

Pidcock is a typical lefty loony, that without the remotest competence, spouts-off about “peaceful diplomacy” at a time which increasingly suggests War is likely to break-out at any time! The Middle East has become so unstable, so heavily engaged in tribal recrimination & brutality against it’s own people that with the Russian involvement in the Syrian conflict, the scene is set to escalate beyond that Country. Corbyn & his turncoat renegade supporters would do well to refer back to another time when pacifists & apologists would have resulted in Britain becoming a vassal state under German domination! So, here we see the plot emerging! Corbyn assumes the role of Gauleiter or regional supremo under Frau Merkel & since the EU already has an Army of sorts, the need for continued reductions in our Armed Forces & the handover of our nuclear submarines & their arsenal of weaponry etc will become part of the deal. Commy Corbyn’s answer for Britain? Take note Pidcock!
