PATRIOTIC YOUTHQUAKE CONTINUES: UKIP Youth Membership Up 83% After Brexit Betrayal

Kipper Central can exclusively reveal that UKIP’s youth membership has risen by 83% over the last two months, reaching a total of 1629 members.

As Kipper Central revealed earlier this month, UKIP’s youth membership has spiked since May, now approaching 2,000 members – its highest membership in years.

The membership of Young Independence – UKIP’s youth wing for all party members aged 30 and under – was at 1629 as of yesterday morning, an 83% rise from the figures at a similar point in May.

Between May 16th and July 20th, Young Independence’s membership increased by 83% from 889 to 1629, making this period of just over two months the best period for UKIP’s youth wing in years.

In fact, UKIP’s national membership has risen by well over 3,000 during this period – with that figure rising every day.

This major increase in the party’s membership is largely a result of a number of prominent online activists and YouTubers joining UKIP, as well as Theresa May’s ‘shameful’ Brexit betrayal.

Speaking exclusively to Kipper Central, Young Independence Chairman Nathan Ryding said: “Young Independence is now the fastest growing youth wing in the United Kingdom!

“We have achieved so much since I started my term as National Chairman and I am extremely happy to see such an increase.

“We will continue to grow throughout the rest of the year and YI will become a force to be reckoned with when it comes to campaigns and By-Elections.

“YI has a great future and I am proud to be its National Chairman during this time.”

Also speaking exclusively to Kipper Central earlier this month, UKIP’s Leader Gerard Batten said: “The sharp increase in the number of young people joining UKIP is good news. It shows that what we stand for is increasingly relevant to young people.

“UKIP is essentially the same as it was when we were founded in 1993: we want to live in a free, independent, democratic nation state, according to our own laws and traditions.

“But the issues around us have evolved, freedom has been eroded enormously in the last twenty-five years and it needs to be regained.

“Being the party of freedom and free speech is something younger people can relate to. UKIP is about what we want our country to be in the future, and to take that struggle forward we need younger people: so welcome aboard.”

    Great news!
UKIP needs a strong Youth base, they are the future of the party, hopefully the future of our Country.

For my sins, I used to be a Tory (head hung in shame), and at the time thought about joining their youth wing, but decided against it, for a very simple reason, the Young Concervatives were a group of well of,f entitled, opinionated, mainly single empty headed “boys and girls” who used YC as an upmarket dating agency that Mummy and Daddy would approve of! Not the place for a rebel like me!
The youth wing of UKIP hard let falls into this cosy category, although spending quality time with like thinkers of the opposite sex is a great way to build lasting relationships, our young people are serious political thinkers, proud supporters of the aims of our Party, who unlike other youth political activists actually have something worthy to say, and the “Old Guard” are very aware that they are our future, a future that is, no doubt in very good hands. As a Branch Chair, I hope that, with the increase in YI Membership, we will be co-opting at least one YI representative onto our Committee, to be formally voted on at our next AGM. History is a great teacher, we learn from the mistakes of the past, but, just because something may not have worked in the past, does not mean a fresh view, inspired by an idealistic young mind, would not work. We must encourage “Blue Sky Thinking” and accept the leap to new viewpoint. All to often, suggestions are dismissed out of hand because it did not work in the past, usually with comments such as “crazy”, “stupid” and so on. But crazy, stupid ideas work, who can forget the Flail Tank, lengths of chain, spinning to detonate mines in front of the tank, or those huge bundles of twigs and branches atop tanks to fill in tanktraps and ditches, silly looking contraptions that really worked saving counless lives. These contraptions were built by young enquiring minds, often outside the chain of command, but adopted when their worth was proven. We, the Grey Breards, must remember what is like to be young, to be certain our ideas will work, but put down at every turn. I was lucky, my Grandfather supported my crazy ideas, even when he knew they would not work, but, through his support I became a better engineer. We must support our Youth wing, welcome them onto our committees, and listen to their ideas. Young Independance is the future of our Party, and, in time, the Leaders of our Country forming UKIP Governments, hopefully not the first, but should that happen sooner than expected, YI will, I am sure, play a huge part in our eventual victory!

Jim, I was a Young Conservative many decades ago and I met my wife through that organisation. As you say it was known as a way to meet girls in those days and we didn’t indulge in politics very much, more late night parties than anything else. I can vaguely remember doing a bit of leafletting but that always ended up in the pub. I think it was probably more like YI today who have fun but take politics more seriously, are a great asset and the future of our Party.

Reece, this can only be the best news yet. Put simply, UKIP is the future for the UK of GB, and that is in the face of a unified slur of total disinformation from our media collective. It is so heartening !
People are seeing through the lies that are told about UKIP, and the fact of Y.I. being in the lead, is the most healthy political change ever. When the rest of the age groups cotton on to our Party, replacing Labour and Conservative for being so out of touch, we can expect to have Governance. Lab/Con have run their courses, and that’s why our Country is in the mess that it is !

Reece, this is really exciting news. Two of Totnes branch YIs came out campaigning in Brixham yesterday. A third YI, from an adjacent branch, popped along from his workplace when he say our stalls and asked for 100 leaflets to give out in his own time when he had finished work. Do let us know when we hit 2,000 YI members.
