PROJECT FEAR: Batten Dismisses ‘No-Deal Prepartions’ As “PR Exercise”

Gerard Batten MEP, UKIP’s Leader has dismissed the much-vaunted preparations announced by the government as a new Project Fear. Ministers were given £2bn extra revenue to prepare for a scenario where Britain exits the EU next year without a deal being agreed.

Batten, however, dismissed measures such the reported mobilisation of 3,500 extra troops as “absurd”. He argued that far from marking a shift in government policy, the announcement actually marks a continuation of its project to scupper Brexit:  “Our government is working with the EU hand in glove to scupper Brexit and we are now in the advanced stages of the betrayal project. The only way for the British people to fight back against the traitorous political establishment is through the ballot box. UKIP, the party of Brexit is the only party committed 100% to Britain leaving the EU. The 17.4 million who voted to leave must back us, or consign the country to perpetual EU membership in one form or another.”

2019 is set to be a decisive year in the showdown between the backstabbing establishment and the British people and the outcome will decide whether we truly leave the EU or stay shackled to it.

I am getting sick of Ambur Rudd talking about a second referendum, she says she does not agree with having one so why does she keep mentioning it? Could it be that they think the more they say it the more likely it is we will soften to it happening, because she could not be more wrong. Ms. Rudd I have two words to say to you: ‘Shut it’!

  2. Mark says:

Amazing how fast she was back in cabinet wasnt it?
I think its called auto-suggestion, where you repeat the same thing over and over, until people start to think its the perceived wisdom. Amber Rudd,s sense of entitlement is truly breath taking, another failed banker who needs the money unfortunately for us.

  3. Alan Beardsmore says:

Yes, ‘shut it’ Amber Rudd; you are a state puppet like the rest.

I agree with Gerard they continue to play their project fear games and I’m hoping the people will see through it. I am totally sick to death of May and her awful government. Politics will never be the same again. I hope UKIP will gain from the tories deceit.

    • NickC says:

Whilst it is more likely that Mrs May will have a second referendum than call a general election, both are there to distract the country from the most likely outcome – that MPs from all parties will vote for Mrs May’s Draft Withdrawal Agreement thereby locking us back into the EU.

Gerard Batten is spot on. You voted to leave the EU ! You have therefore no choice in who to vote for, as there is only one Party that will do what you voted for, and that is UKIP !
In making that point, have you read this Party’s manifesto ? It is worth checking on, and blows the lies away that the MSM and the old discredited Parties are so keen to make up. VOTE UKIP FOR AN INDEPENDENT NATION, AND A BETTER ONE !

  6. I hope Gerard Batten has made Parliament aware of this because it is only the re-emergence of UKIP that will frighten them into getting on with that for which the 17.4m people voted.

As ever Gerard is 100% correct. This is Project Fear/Project Hysteria in overdrive and these idiots in Westminster are simply game playing – this nonsense in the Commons is showing off, grandstanding and showboating. Calling in troops for crying out loud. Maybe was arguing the other day with Drunker about the nebulous comment… shades of the playground and one would suggest if the cap fits, she should wear it …. now all this tripe about Jezza C allegedly calling her a stupid woman. Once again if the cap fits…. if he did say it. If she wants equality then she’s got it, don’t start playing the sexist tripe at this stage of the proceedings.

    • MIKE MAUNDER says:

I never thought I would find myself agreeing with Mr Corbyn. – Mrs May is certainly a stupid woman !
She has not at any point understood how to negotiate with the EU, and Mr Juncker, for once, looks upon her as just an idiot !
She is the Conservatives Jonah, in calling an election and losing her inherited majority. Passing money to the DUP, for what ?
Her silliness has been caught by her Party. – They wanted shot of her, but instead gave her licence for another year !
Never in the history of our Parliament, have we had such a miserable and inept PM, and there were many close runners !

Darrell, You are quite wrong in your statement: “UKIP, the party of Brexit is the only party committed 100% to Britain leaving the EU”. You should know that For Britain is equally committed to BREXIT. It is enshrined in our manifesto to exit the EU immediately with no “deal”, no divorce bill and no bullshit. UKIP politicians should remember the old adage: My enemy’s enemy is my friend.

  9. VB says:

Yes I agree its just more scaremongering. I do not think for one minute that the Brexiteers will believe this tripe
