SABOTEURS: Anti-Brexit MP’s Plot To Paralyse Government

Dominic Grieve MP, who led the campaign for Parliament to have it’s ‘Meaningful Vote’ on the Withdrawal Agreement, is scheming with other Remoaning MP’s to “paralyse” the government and force it to call a second referendum.

The Remoaning ‘Best For Britain’ group produced a report, which Grieve wrote the foreword for, which outlined how MP’s could block both the Withdrawal Agreement and a ‘No Deal’ Brexit.

It said “The clearest opportunity for replacing no deal as the default option is through political pressure via the Finance Bill. The key point is that income tax and corporation tax are annual taxes, authorisation of which runs out at the end of the tax year.”

If the plot were successful, the government would be blocked from collecting income tax and corporation tax as its authorisation would expire and it would then become unable to pass and fund key legislation. In his foreword, Grieve dismisses a no deal Brexit as “irrational fantasies” and urges Parliament to back a second vote.

They really don’t get it do they?

“No-deal” is by law the default option, because Parliament voted to invoke the Article 50 withdrawal process.

A reminder of the text of paragraph three of Article 50:
“The Treaties shall cease to apply to the State in question from the date of entry into force of the withdrawal agreement or, failing that, two years after the notification referred to in paragraph 2, unless the European Council, in agreement with the Member State concerned, unanimously decides to extend this period.”

So whether any withdrawal agreement is reached or not, the UK will exit from the EU (“treaties shall cease to apply”) two years after the notification is given (ie end of March 2019). That is the ‘default option’ as defined by EU law, and agreed by Parliament when they voted to invoke Article 50.

I know these people like to “reinterpret everything” in order to get a meaning favourable to them, but there is no way of reinterpreting this simple basic fact. Perhaps Dominic Grieve would prefer to roll around on the Commons floor screaming like a toddler having a tantrum that can’t get its own way?

I hope the politicians will stop short of taking such dangerous actions, that they will accept that their failure to settle the details of Brexit with the EU is their responsibility and that any disruption to trade that ensues in April is partially their fault, but that they face up to that and allow the end of membership to happen without further bad behaviour on their part.

    A complete wanker!

SABOTEURS ABOUND ! ….. There are some folk in Parliament that call themselves Conservatives, but by their actions you would never know for sure ! On the other side of the House, there are some who wish to be known as Labour ! What happened ?
Brexiteers used to be united on leaving the EU, but a cunning plan has been promoted. – If enough separate groups or Parties are raised, they will give lip service to Brexit, while they stab one another in the back for personal and secondary benefit !
Saboteurs have it easy ! Just divide to conquer ! Some groups may well not be very straight !

….And May is not in cahoots? Sorry, but Brexit is fast moving from charade to farce to fiasco. This whole things smacks of manipulations to stay in the EU whilst at the same time giving the impression to the electorate of serving ‘the will of the people’. I do not believe anything from Westminster now. The ruling elite want Remain and what the ruling elite wants, the ruling elite gets.

    • MIKE MAUNDER says:

Bollocks to that Chris ! There are more of us than them ! We all see now that May’s sale to us of a pig, is in fact a goat !
Take note of Winston Churchill’s advice. ….. ”NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, GIVE UP”. ….. It’s good advice from a great man.

This is all by design. They have been working on these ‘new ideas’ for years to saboteur Brexit and a no deal. Their red herring has been about threats to the economy because of Brexit yet the only ones who want ruin the the economy in order to achieve their cowardly and immoral aims are themsleves.

Maybe these types will soon want a safe-place in parliament where they can go and weep because they don’t like to hear about the rising tide of true patriotism and anti-EU feeling. And the demand for true Brexit. The Brexit the majority voted for. Note to any anti-Brexit types, its called democracy, dummy, and you lost the vote.

Although I voted Leave I now believe that the UK will remain. The powers that control us will not allow it. Perhaps we we should join the French and protest in a similar fashion. Democracy is in its death throws.

    • MIKE MAUNDER says:

Stuff that Jeff ! Mrs May might well grovel before the EU, and make a total arse of herself, but she does so on her own and of her own choosing. Both my late Father and Mother were in the RAF for WW2, and although our ‘Government’ might like to discount the facts of history, I will never do so ! ”Democracy in its death throws” – Bollocks !

      • Jeff says:

Sorry Mike but I don’t that we will be allowed to leave. Our Parliament does not respect the wishes of the majority of voters. Our Civil Servants will continue to work to their plan. Have you evered wondered why so little changes despite there being a change of Government. The TV series “Yes Minister” was accurate in its display of the ineffectual MP.

Democracy and freedom are about ensuring evil people don’t enslave you nor hold sway over you. So you continue no matter what, to ensure these innate rights are protected and upheld. You never surrender to evil.
