REMOANERS UNDER FIRE: Peoples Vote Facing Criticism As GLA Estimates Attendance At ‘Historic’ March A THIRD Of What Organisers Claimed
The Peoples Vote campaign was facing heavy criticism today after the debrief prepared by the Greater London Authority put the attendance at the march supporting a second referendum on October 20th at 250,000, a third of the 700,000 that they claimed attended.
Scotland Yard told The Sunday Telegraph, following a Freedom Of Information request, that : “The Greater London Authority (GLA) has included an estimated attendance figure of 250,000 in a debrief document.
Brexiteers responded by calling on the Peoples Vote campaign to stop trying to “dupe” people into believing they have more support than they do.
Anne-Marie Trevelyan, Conservative MP for Berwick On Tweed, said:
“Leaving the EU was an option on the ballot paper that attracted more votes than any referendum or politician in our history.
“The People’s Vote would do well to remember this and should stop attempting to dupe people about how many people support it.”
The news follows the revelation that despite Remoaners claim to the contrary, the pro-Brexit march in London on December 9th dwarfed the counterprotest.
