‘DISTASTEFUL’! DUP’S Wilson SLAMS Parliament For Thinking They “Know Better” Than Public

As the pantomime of the Brexit debate in Parliament continues, the Democratic Unionist Parties Sammy Wilson has taken aim at the entire Commons as the war of words between the government and their erstwhile allies hots up.

Mr Wilson, the DUP’s Brexit Spokesperson, talking to Julia Hartley-Brewer on her show on talkRadio said that she was right that there is an “arrogance” among some in the House Of Commons who think they “know better” than the British public.

He continued: “It’s so patronising and distasteful of the population”.

Theresa May has failed to win the DUP’s support for her sell-out Withdrawal Agreement and has today resorted to effectively using the Northern Irish Peace Process as a bargaining chip.

Secretary Of State for Northern Ireland, Karen Bradley pointed out that the government has invested “millions” in the peace process which is an example of the “certainty” provided by the Withdrawal Agreement.

DUP MEP Diane Dodds dismissed the remarks as disgraceful and disingenuous.

I know that if I were a Northern Irishman, I would be short of any restraint about Mrs May and the Tory Government. It’s disgusting ! Parliament as a whole has shown how the elected representatives treat the people, and for me, this is even more of an issue than Brexit, because Independence gained from the EU, puts us under the thumb of many MPs, who are discounting the will of the electorate, and believe that they, and they alone, run this UK of GB. ….. At the first opportunity the people need to use our VERY POWERFUL VOTE, to rid the Commons of these MPs, who have lost sight of their true function. UKIP is the ideal vehicle for this, and if in the five year term, UKIP has not impressed, then indeed that will be the end of this Party. We won’t have to try too hard !

Well done Wilson. The whole thing is a charade. There is no longer a UK government in Westminster only an EU department. The UK/EU government along with their lab/lib/con axis partners have lost the right to be trusted and voted for by anyone ever again.

I remember a Video of Julia Hartley-Brewer actually crying because she was so angry that the Brexit result and democracy was being betrayed.
